Almost a month ago in my city(Lviv,Ukraine)was held Fashion Week. 24 designers were performing their collections during 21-23 of May. All of them were absolutely talented but I am going to make a review only of the most extraordinary to my mind.
Opening party in night club "Rafinad People" (http://rafinad-club.com/) was presented by the project of popular Ukrainian photographer Andriy Goncharenko "MODNA KRAINA", this project was created to develop Ukrainian fashion and to show an interesting side of Ukraine to the world. Such famous Ukrainian designers as Oksana Karavanska,Roksolana Bogutska, Aina Gasse and many others took part in the project(read more: http://www.modnakraina.com/).

On 21st of May designer from Poland, Alicja Czarniecka was presenting collection "Zip the Lip"...not only a talanted designer but also a very nice person!
The next day,the most sensational collection was presented by famous Ukrainian designer Roksolana Bogutska. She showed a rich woman of 30th from the last century who could afford to wear very expansive leather and fur...and also used precious emerald colour.
The last day was the most interesting one, designers debutants and also world famous names.
So the first debutant was Syuzanna Slastion, Lviv girl who was studying in London Fashion School "Instituto Marangoni". Her collection was rough and feminine, it was dedicated to New York,to the women from Manhattan.
The next debutant was Olga Romanova. She graduated From "Lviv Acadamy of Arts" and performed her collection which was called "Lady Trump" all the clothing was created for Femme Fatale, for women who like to wear carnaval apparel in everyday life.
The greatest collection was shown by Vyacheslav Zaitsev, a legendary fashion designer from Russia who once was listed as one of the best designers of the 20th century next to Christian Dior and Coco Chanel. His incredible collection was really remiding of that great times of 50th last century when Dior was performing his great collections, his "know how" in fashion, "new look". Despite the age of maestro,Zaitsev was doing make-up and hairstyle by himself. In the end of the show he driven out from the backstage by new cabrio Mercedes E-class.

The last collection which was clothing Lviv Fashion Week was presented by a young and perspective designer from Kiev, Liliya Litkovskaya. Her futuristic collection proved that we have Ukrainian Yohji Yamamoto. The most extraordinary were the hats which symbolize sharp corners in our life. All the clothing looks very simple but also with very difficult cut.

So,Ukraine and also Lviv proved that we can have fashion,extraordinary designers who can compete with world famous designers, they only need promotion. Make your own conclusion.
